It is now nine weeks since I had my three implants fitted. From my first discussion with Paul I have been well informed and treated with great care and concern for my comfort.

It was decided I would need a bone graft, this was followed by implanting three screws into the well healed bone and finally after a few months my beautifully crafted new teeth were fitted.

I should add I am a lady in her seventies who now takes great joy in a smile a much younger lady would
be proud of.

During the whole procedure I was completely at ease and relaxed; feeling I was in very capable hands. The initial explanations gave an almost complete picture of the operation and effects. My bone structure (lower jaw) did not allow for ‘Teeth In An Hour’, but throughout the operation I felt no pain and was not uncomfortable. From my point of view I never saw nor tasted blood!

When the implants and new top denture were in place I was able to eat properly without any problems. There was no pain or discomfort afterwards. The only bad point was the effect of the anaesthetic which took several weeks to clear away fully. I can now eat steaks, sweet corn and apples, something I have not been able to do for many years. My only regret is that I did not have this done earlier.

I would also like to add that my new top denture has knocked ten years off my appearance (so my husband says). An added bonus.

Dental surgery is never the most pleasant of experiences but I was always kept advised of what was happening and what the next stage of the procedure would be. This made the more painful parts of the treatment all the more bearable as I knew what to expect.

When I discussed implants with my dentist she put me in touch with a large practice in Cheshire.

I telephoned and was met with a very American receptionist who wasn’t able to let me talk to the practitioner who would be treating me. With such an important decision I wanted to know in advance who would be treating me.

I decided to ask my previous dental practice with whom I had been with for 20 years if they would make a recommendation and they suggested Elmfield Dental Practice and Implant Centre.

When I telephoned Paul’s practice I met a friendly but professional response, where I was not only given Paul’s practice history, but was able to come and discuss my treatment options with him at length before going home to make any decisions.

The treatment I subsequently chose proceeded smoothly and without too much discomfort. I was put at complete ease, and the end result, three implants which are indistinguishable from my real teeth visually and in practice, fully justify my decision to go with Elmfield Dental Practice.

No pain, I actually fell asleep during part of the procedure. Far superior to a bridge as does not corrupt the teeth either side – recommended!

Just a short note to say a big thank you to you all for the fabulous results in my dental implant treatment. It looks so natural. After many months of deliberation, I am so happy I had the implant as there was no pain as I had feared and although the surgery was longer and more involved than I expected, at no time did I feel any discomfort. Compared with the alternative I believe this is probably the best solution in the long-term.

About six months ago, Mr McDonald of Marple completed the work needed to replace all my upper teeth with implants.

Although the work took longer than I had expected I am delighted with the end result which makes me feel like a new woman! It feels like I have my own teeth again!

I would be pleased to recommend Paul to anyone contemplating such dental work.
